The Master Lock Magnum M40XKAD Discus Padlock is a high-security lock designed for both indoor and outdoor use. It features a 2-3/4 in. (70 mm) wide stainless steel body that provides maximum strength, reliability, and corrosion resistance. The shrouded design of the padlock minimizes shackle exposure, offering protection against bolt cutter attacks.

The 3/8 in. (10 mm) diameter octagonal shackle is made of Tough-Cut boron-carbide, which is 50% harder than hardened steel. This material provides maximum resistance to cutting and sawing. The shackle is 5/8 in. (16 mm) long and is equipped with a four-pin cylinder that prevents picking. Additionally, the dual locking ball bearings offer maximum resistance against prying and hammering.

The padlock also features a covered keyway that provides weather protection, and a reinforced body bumper that protects against scratches. It is best used as a storage unit lock, garage lock, shed lock, trailer lock, and moving truck lock.
